As our summer draws to a close and we begin our school year lesson schedule, we wanted to reflect back on some of the great things that happened at Fox Run this past summer!
We had several of our students spend quite a bit of their time with us at the barn perfecting their horsemanship skills. We made tons of memories and of course had a few laughs too. From jumping CoCo our resident mini pony to horseback rides followed by pool time, the young riders at Fox Run definitely had a summer to remember.
Many of our riders got to try new and exciting things this summer as well:
Anna Beth took Barbie tot he Sikeston Jaycee Bootheel Rodeo and rode in the opening ceremony! Look at that English pony go, we think she looks pretty spiffy Western as well.
Emily Peters attended her first dressage show with her mare Trieste and had a great time with Dressage trainer Elizabeth Stevenson who often gives lessons at Fox Run.
Meagan DeLisle and Joey got to participate in a Jumper Clinic with Brody Robertson and brought home lots to work on to improve their performance in the Jumper Ring.
We also hosted our FIRST EVER home schooling show and had such a great time. Many of our riders came home with great ribbons and there were smiles all around. The heat couldn't keep us down and we are so thankful for everyone who helped make that day possible.
This fall has lots in store for our Fox Run family as we continue to grow and welcome new horses to the facility. We plan on attending several shows this fall and even have a few riders who will be auditing a George H. Morris clinic to broaden their knowledge of the competitive equestrian industry. Seeing our riders thrive and grow at their own pace is truly what brings a smile to our faces and we are so excited to see what the rest of 2017 has in store!
