We closed out our 2017 show year strong with many riders in the ribbons. Our final shows for the year were at La Cheval de Boskydell where our riders rocked the costume contest and the competitive classes and at the MegFord season finale in Memphis. All of our riders came home in the ribbons and we couldn't be more proud of how each of them has progressed over the year.
We are so proud of three of our horse and rider combinations who came home with year-end awards from the MegFord series. Congratulations to Ainsleigh Glenn and Puff the Magic Dragon for bringing home 4th in Open Crossrails; Anna Buhs and Violeta for bringing home 6th in Open Crossrails; and Meagan DeLisle and G.I. Joe for bringing home 6th in the 2'6" Jumpers and 3rd in the 2'4" Jumpers.
In October, many of our riders audited a George Morris clinic to brush up on their horsemanship skills. Meagan DeLisle had the amazing opportunity to ride with George and learned a lot! Our trainer, Cassie Zimmerman, absorbed a ton of information that she has brought home and implemented into our training program. Our team loves participating in opportunities to advance our skills so we can provide the best education to our students.
As we launch into winter, we want to remind everyone to dress appropriately when coming to the barn! And remember- if you are chilly, your four legged friend might be as well. Please plan additional time for cooling out your horse after a hard lesson and making sure he/she is comfortable before leaving the barn. Your horses will thank you!
We have a December day camp planned and hope to see many of our riders and friends there to join us. Please refer to the flyer below for more information:
And last but not least, it is time for our annual barn Christmas Party! We can't wait to celebrate the great year we have had with all of our riders and spread some holiday cheer!
